THE CARVING PROCESS

Each chainsaw-carved sculpture begins as a log or burl. Initially, the chainsaw is used to remove large portions of wood and outline the basic design, carefully crafting tunnels, waves, folds, and other unique shapes.

Next, various powered carving tools and sanding disks are employed to refine the design and smooth the surface. This is followed by extensive sanding and finishing. Throughout this process, each piece evolves uniquely. Although Scott has a vision for each sculpture, the wood often influences the final outcome. This ensures that every sculpture is truly "one of a kind," making them exceptional collector's items.
